Knots may not seem like a big deal, but they exist to make life easier. There are nearly as many different knots as there are uses for rope. And that’s not a few. A good knot may even save your life one day.

Knowing the basic knots will help you out in almost any situation, whether you’re tying luggage to your roof rack, hanging a hammock, or staking out a tent.
